Pokhara is the city of lakes. The valley is home of seven beautiful lakes, including Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal. This valley is the perfect place for those who want to get back to nature. There are caves to explore, mountains to trek in, fast flowing white water rivers to travel by raft or kayak, plus much more to explore.
There are great views of the snowcapped peaks of the Annapurna Mountains. The mountains are so close that they feel like they will fall on you as they rise up, piercing the cobalt blue skies with their pure white snowcapped peaks.
Pokhara offers great sunrise and sunset views of the mountains from Sarangkot Hill. Boating is relaxing on Phewa Lake. Explore Devi Falls along with caves and underground temples. There are seven lakes to explore in the valley.
The elevation of the Pokhara Valley is relatively low – just 820 meters above sea level. This is a sub-tropical elevation that allows for unique flora and fauna, changing rapidly as you rise in elevation to Annapurna I, the 10th highest mountain in the world.
