Nepal is a good place to bring children, giving them an opportunity to experience the incredible Himalayas. Swiss Nepal Family Trekking & Expedition has long had a positive image as the ideal family trekking company. Over our nearly 10 years of existence, we have put together hundreds of treks for families who bring their children to Nepal. While not every trekking area is ideal for family, so many of them are and we know which ones will work best for you and your family. Some of the best - selling trips include the following:
AGE RANGE AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
While it is definitely not always recommended to take young children on some of the higher elevation treks, children can learn to become good trekkers and can quickly get used to higher elevations. You might even discover that they may actually walk faster than you as they often have lots of extra energy.
Swiss Nepal Family Trekking & Expedition can provide for ¾ ponies, child carriers or other amenities in order to make your trek more pleasant. Little children are easy to carry while those over eight have usually more stamina to do longer treks. Children between the ages of 4 and 7 are probably the most difficult to handle because they are too big to carry and will tire out on long treks. However, there is no reason that those of this age group can't do some shorter treks, and we can help you to choose the right one for your family.
FAMILY WALKING EQUIPMENT
