One of the most spiritual places to visit in the world is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It was here in 623 BC that his mother gave birth on the jungle road at a place we now call Lumbini. Here is a sacred place where the cares of the outside world fade away as you connect with the divine.
Nepal is home of many sacred places to those of the Buddhist faith. It is here that Lord Buddha was born, and where he sought enlightenment. Many Buddhas has found enlightenment in the shadow of the mighty Himalayas.
This nine day tour features incredible opportunities to not only experience sacred places of history, but to personally experience their spiritual powers. Swiss Nepal Family Trekking & Expedition is pleased to be able to offer these spiritual tours for Buddhists as well as those who are seeking a greater spirituality in their lives.
Many of the places we will visit are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. But in addition to the spiritual places, this tour also offers a fun excursion into the jungles of Chitwan National Park where you will be able to participate in a jungle safari. This experience will help you to appreciate the jungle setting where Maya Devi was forced to give birth to her son, Siddhartha Gautama who became Lord Buddha.
