When traveling to Chitwan National Park, most people have to travel beside the mighty Trisuli River. But why not ride the rapids on the way down to Chitwan National Park where you can experience the thrill of shooting rapids with incredible mountain scenery? It can be done on this short, but exciting trip in Nepal.
Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has been a major success in the comeback of the Royal Bengal Tiger as well as the One Horned Indian Rhinoceros. Its 932 square kilometers are a wonderful experience which you can explore on foot, on the back of an elephant or in a jeep safari.
The park is close to the Trisuli River, whose headwaters are in Tibet where it rises from three different sources. The Trisuli River is one of the most popular rivers in Nepal for rafting and kayaking as it has plenty of challenges. It is great for first time white-water rafters plus there are some more challenging rapids for those seeking greater thrills. All the while, go down through impressive gorges and scenic valleys.
This trip can be a stand-alone trip, or incorporated into another package tour or trek. The Trisuli and Chitwan National Park are on the way to other locations in the country, so little time is lost going from one trip to another.
